Best cheapest smallest practice amp?

Hi all,

 

I'm looking for a small cheap practice amp to take to my bandmates house, for quiet practice, rather than lugging my 2x12. Maybe something in the 15w range?

 

I used to have a Stagg 20w combo amp back in the day which was rubbish. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm really looking for under £40. Thanks!

I scored a little Eden 8 for £20ish

Might see a Baby Rumble 15... Orange Crush, After Eight or som such.

Any Loft Find Carpet Covered Combo can be given a Freshen-Up with a Washing up brush and a jumper de-bobbler.

£40 or less should get you a Peavey Micro Bass in decent condition. They're built tough and sound alright.

Yeah, I think I've narrowed it down to the Rumble 15 v1 or the peavey Microbass 20w

Well, the Peavey Microbass I bought arrived broken so I'm sending that back. If anyone on here has a small amp they don't need anymore, feel free to get in touch!

The best small practice amp I tried in recent years was an EBS Classic Session combo, sounded incredible for it's size!

A small 2nd hand active speaker is worth a shout! plus you get a bit more versailty!

Cheap, small and extremely light and i suspect handles bass better than the very practice amps available. Obviously this is not aimed at bass players but honestly, if your bass sounds good already then what else do you really need from an amp. Doubles up as my practice guitar rig, and will be my music station for the garden when the weather arrives!
