Long story short I used to use a tube DI then briefly moved to a quad cortex so wanted a cleaner DI to use amp sounds so traded for this. I’ve done away with the QC so would love to go back to a tube DI or maybe something like a capo with more tonal options. Fine to add cash if needed and happy to sell this too if that’s easier.

Still has its box and that of course.

any trade offers or questions feel free to get in touch.

Hi, I wouldn’t use this for DI but to go straight to a compressor and amp… there doesn’t seem to be any way to alter eq on this pedal but very interested in what it does to you live sound using this pedal. Cheers. Alan

I wouldn’t be the one to give you expert analysis but it’s just a sound better box to be honest. Based on Neve 1073 so as if your bass signal was going into a nice channel strip in a studio. You can decide how much saturation you get by changing gain and compensation with level.

This will not work as an eq

It does have an amp out which you could use to continue your signal and have the option of the xlr out. As well.

It’s also good to use at the end of a board because it has an effects loop so you can run everything through it and so it has a proper buffer and stops tone suck from running loads of pedals, long cables etc. They definitely make your bass sound better, is a subtle low end boost and real clarity. I said to myself that next time a used one comes up that I would definitely get it, as they’re fantastic, but I’m gonna need to sell first 😬 😕

I have the plug in version and running my pedal board into my daw then it’s hitting the 1073 preamp and it lifts the whole thing. It's a wonderful unit which I unfortunately have no practical need for but would love to hear one in the flesh.
