WTF is a ham fisted pub playing weekend warrior like me gonna do with all these cab sims? I'm better off out of it. I don’t think you’re alone with this, I can barely choose a can of beans in the supermarket if there’s more than one option. 6 mic options, 6 placement options and 20+ cabs… I’d be there all day! 4 Quote

2pods Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago is this really just a cut down Quad Cortex for bass players ? I'm just wondering if it's worth it along with an already purchased QC ? 1 Quote

If you want a smaller footprint, you're a fan of Darkglass pedals, and you don't mind having a single FX loop and fewer switches, it has the potential to be a pretty compelling alternative. If Darkglass can broaden the range of amps and effects, get Bluetooth working and maybe provide a user-friendly capture method, it would be an easy sell for bassists. I'm glad it's here as it might get Neural to up their game a little. It's a cool-looking unit with a bunch of potential but I'd suggest hanging around and seeing what it looks like after the next patch or two. 1 Quote

I’d say probably not worth having both, if you find your QC is under utilised (you hardly use the 8 footswitches, or you constantly wish it was smaller, or it’s just doing a little bit of processing on an already busy board) then it could be a good option to downsize the footprint. Else you’ve got two wildly different Capture ecosystems and workflows, personally I’d find that quite annoying but YMMV. 3 Quote

Cutting down to it could be anytime option, but don't know what the used market is like for QCs. I'd want a good chunk of money spare at the end of it. Quote

QC’s go for £1100 - £1200 I find second hand, the sweetener is how much extra stuff can you get for that like a DC7 and Solo 18. But you will get the occasional £900 bargain. I ended up going open box because I wanted the warranty on something so expensive and the ability to send it back but some of the deals I saw were near new price. If you can list in a dip in supply when Thomann and Guitar Guitar don’t have any in stock you can really ask a premium. I’m looking forward to these Anagrams cropping up for 600-700, that’s a real sweet spot for something so powerful. Quote
