Bluewine Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago What separates your band from the other bands in the areas you work in ? What do you have that others don't ? If you were pitching your band to a prospect, what would be your bast selling point. You can also add in areas where you think your band struggles. Daryl Quote
Lozz196 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Well our current album is The Seven Legged Groove Machine because at the time we were a 4-piece and the singer had recently had a motorcycle accident resulting in the lower half of his right leg being amputated. We’re now a 5-piece so the latest guy in worries about both legs. But in the areas we work in, well for some reason we’re on the psychobilly scene even though we’re more of a garage punk band, so our USP (and is on our merch) is The Spacewasters, Not Psychobilly Enough. 2 Quote
Bluewine Posted 3 hours ago Author Posted 3 hours ago I think the main distinction between us and other local bands is the gregarious personality of our band leader and her husband. They're both really good at working a crowd. Daryl Quote
Norris Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago We don't play Oasis We don't play Dakota We don't play Sex on Fire We don't play Mr Brightside I think that sets us apart 😂 What we do play is 60s and 70s stuff that you will have likely heard of but that other bands don't do. Rock, prog and pop. We like doing stuff that is technically challenging and stuff that you wouldn't think a trio could do. That, and the guitar/vocalist has a great line in banter and amuses & entertains the audience. It's a lovely combination and I feel so lucky to be a part of it. I've been in bands with him for 40 years now 1 Quote
