Has anyone ordered parts from -

http://www.guitarpartsresource.com/

What are the shipping charges like and do we have to pay import duties on goods received ?

Thanks

Yes, I've used them before. No there are no hidden costs. I didn't find the shipping too obnoxious. You might have to pay duties depending upon the value and if the customs are awake or not when your package comes through - but that's nothing to do with BPR.

You generally get charged c.20% import duty - however on occasion I have received goods (eg, a Sansamp) that customs failed to spot, thereby saving me over £20

No hidden costs barring the usual import ones, and if it's a spare part, BPR tend to put it at just under the customs rate anyway, you only get caught on bigger things.

Thanks for the prompt replies.

I'll make an allowance for a possible 20% on import duty then and see how the prices fare based on that.

Think I got hit for VAT + 8% import duty when I ordered a pup and pre amp from the states for my project.

Or you could try this http://customs.hmrc.gov.uk/channelsPortalW...ment#P177_21685
but I was dribbling after 10 mins..... :)

I've had loads of orders from them. It used to be $6USD for delivery, but now it seems to have increased to $15USD. I never had to pay any extra on delivery. The stuff was sent USPS and delivered by the postie with the usual post.

That's pretty much my experience. They're extremely quick also (4 days is their record USA to me)
