xgsjx
Love Tina's bass playing (one of my influences), but I always find myself skipping past this song whenever I listen to Stop Making Sense (too cheesy for my liking). +1 on Tina's playing & her voice. Rayman
When I first started playing in the late 70s, there were three players that inspired me to play. Jean Jaques Burnel, Colin Moulding and Tina Weymouth. "Remain In Light" was the Talking Heads album that did it for me, Simple funky grooves with loads of space between the notes, she just knocked me out, and still does. brummie
Saw them a week last Saturday at Shepherds Bush Empire, good fun and v funky - she's nearly 60 now!! Her bass parts in Tom Tom Club songs tend to be kept quite simple, despite that she went out of time a couple of times when she was dancing around - but she's forgiven - she was dancing around like a teenager. Keane were good as well BTW

Bass_In_Yer_Face
Everyone says 'Remain In Light' is THE Talking Heads album, but I always preferred 'Speaking In Tounges'. "This Must Be The Place" was about the third single I ever bought.
