Beedster Posted June 11, 2009 Share Posted June 11, 2009 I bought the Fender PUP on ebay about 9 months ago with the intention of getting it rewound by Andy at Wizard and installing it in my '73 Jazz, on which the bridge PUP seemed quite quiet. However, the quietness grew on me and this is still sitting around. There are no wires from the contacts so the very least this will need is to solder some on. The windings look OK to me but to be on the safe side I'll sell this on the basis that it will need a rewind. This will cost you around £40 from Andy at Wizard. Of course, you might get lucky and find it's OK as is:) £40 posted. 70's PUPs tend to go for stupid money on the bay so I guess even with a rewind it's still less than you'd pay there. Less than I paid for it also The Cairns PUP came installed in an old P/J and was played (allegedly) by a couple of famous musos.
