_P_I_P_
I am about to recieve a sansamp programmable DI pedal Was just wondering what my signal path should be like if i am adding it to my current set up Boss GEB-7 EQ > Boss CEB 3 Chorus > Boss ODB 3 Overdrive (might use, might not) > Boss TU-2 Tuner Am i right in thinking it should just go before all that? Any help is appreciated, Thanks
cheddatom
If you want to use it as an amp simulator, or as a DI for live sound, and you want these applications to be applied like an amp, after your effects chain, put it at the end. If you're just using it as a dirt pedal, then play about with the order, although you don't have much to play with. It depends what you're using your EQ for. If you use your TU-2 to mute, and you use the sansamp to feed the desk, the TU-2 needs to be before the sansamp.
iamapirate
I might be wrong, but you probably should have the TU-2 first in the chain so it doesn't get the distorted signal from the ODB-3 going into it. However, that will give you a bit of noise when you tune up from the OD pedal.
cheddatom
I don't really think distortion affects the pitch at all, but I suppose it could effect how responsive the tuner is. You should be tuning on mute anyway so it'd be fine.
Dubs
I’d generally always put a tuner first, anything after that is ‘right’ if it sounds ‘right’. There are generally no rules for this except what sounds good to you.
