As the topic say's I would like people to recommend me various Jazz PUP's and justify it. I am thinking of buying some Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounds as they seem to have great reviews but I know there are lots more out there. So why did you choose your PUP's? Thanks

Dimarzio Model J's. The best pickups ive ever had.
Theyre split coil jazzes, so this means no buzz when using just one pup, also means you have more wiring options.
They have adjustable poles to, so if you have a radiused set up the A + D string poles can be raised for a more even sound.

All this with an awesome tone to boot.

I regret selling mine to be honest. I only sold them to try out some MEC'S, which are good, but not as good as the model J's.

Not sure if it's gonna help or confuse you even more but here you have a pickup comparison thread from Talkbass:

I'm about to replace the pickups on my Geddy Lee and I was also thinking Dimarzio Model J but I really don't like the look of the adjustable pole pieces.
I've just checked their website and they seem to have change that option, the adjustable poles I mean, and now they look as any other jazz pickup, is that for real or just they've got the wrong picture? Edited by PauBass
