£400-£500. What amp?

It may have taken me nearly 10 years to realise it, but I finally concede that bass > guitar, at least in my eyes. So I'm making the switch.

I'm looking for an amp and have about £400 to spend on it. I'd rather separates than a combo though.

Any suggestions?

On this forum in the classifieds there is a very good Hartke 410XL cab for sale at about £160 I think - cheap as chips for a great bit of kit.

Then you have a pretty good budget left for an amp to go with it

That's all good if you want new but if you went for that link I gave you earlier you could get a Mag 600 and a Mag 4 X 10 for £220.

Have a look at the Hartke LH500. Cheap, easy to work and getting rave reviews here and elsewhere.
