Mike Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 That's being sold by Darren at the Bass Merchant, Colchester, FYI! Quote
molan Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 This looks a lot like Birdy's Spitfire - I know he had it up for sale a while ago but then withdrew it. Probably just one that's very similar though! Quote

steve-soar Posted June 23, 2009 Author Posted June 23, 2009 I think you need to do "The Twelve Step Plan" for bass addiction. Quote

Dubs Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 With such amazing instruments available in that sort of price bracket, why would anyone buy a new Stingray? Quote

[/quote] I've recently bought a brand-new StingRay fretless (but I got it at a special `artiste' price!) - to be fair the build quality is excellent. The retail price is staggering (I think its around £1,700 for one like mine - highly figured ash body in 3 tone burst - very Pino etc), but then, a brand new GB is also pretty high - if I was more wealthy I'd go get Bernie to build me one etc. Good quality used gear like Steve's ex-GB featured here is well worth going for at the price its up for, and I for one am hoping to get something sorted out!
