Herr Fixxxer
Hey there, I got around to selling my excellent little Shuttle combo because I just play much less bass than before and got back to playing more guitar. The little thing is gathering dust in the bedroom, which is quite a shame for such a terrific amp. I can't describe how good it is, but then again I am sold to Genz Benz. Well, you must all know how good it is, you must have read about it! What I love about it is its portability. The whole thing weighs around 4kg and can easily be lugged around without causing any back pain whatsoever. And boy it's loud. I mean LOUD. It can be tame as well, it sounds great at low volume and is perfect for bedroom use as much as for small rehearsals (how many hundred watts does it deliver again? LOL). The 8" speaker is extremely impressive and can handle anything you throw at it. Lows are suprisingly full, mediums are punchy (I just love the mids in GB amps, especially with that semi-parametric thingy), highs are crystal clear. It's warm and articulate at the same time, clarity's the word, and while it sounds rather modern than vintage, it's also very versatile. Bought new a few months ago (still under warranty), it never left my London flat, always been carefully stored and used, smoke-free environment, it's just as new. Seriously, there isn't a single scratch to be seen. In 110% working condition, the speaker hasn't suffered at all since I only used it at low to moderate volume levels in the flat. It's so light I can post it to you (insured), and I will even do that for free! Pictures on request, feel free to ask! RRP is £669, it sells for £600 at Bass Direct. Since it's in pristine condition and has not been used a lot, I think £449 with insured postage and packing is only a fair price. Tech specs over there : http://www.genzbenz.com/?fa=detail&mid...=610&cid=95 [i]Shuttle 3.0-8T The SHUTTLE series has been developed for professional players, who require an easily transported, great sounding and flexible bass system that is full-featured and extremely transportable. The heart of the SHUTTLE series is the lightweight amplifier design. This 2.75 lb amplifier is available as a “head only” or in combo versions delivering 175 watts at 8 ohms and 300 watts at 4 ohms. In the combo models, the SHUTTLE amp chassis can be easily removed from it’s combo “saddle” in seconds and carried to a larger gig in the pocket of your bass case or the available carry bag. The SHUTTLE head is extremely useful as a “stand alone” unit. The headphone output is great for quiet, personal practice sessions; you can even adjust the volume level and tone you hear with the preamp. Using the “post eq” setting on the D.I. turns the SHUTTLE into an outstanding preamp for recording sessions. The STL3.0-8T or STL3.0-10T combos are ideal for café gigs, “acoustic” performances, jazz gigs or for practice. The SHUTTLE 3.0 amp when coupled to larger cabinets (NEOX-210T or 212T for example) can provide the power and clarity for much larger applications. This ultra compact combo delivers impressive output and tone. The ported enclosure combines an 8” Neodymium loudspeaker and soft-dome Neodymium tweeter in a “micro” 13.5 lb. package. Power rating is 175 watts; 300 watts with optional extension cabinet. Herr Fixxxer
Cheers! It sure is great, and not that often on sale because people usually keep them forever!
bythesea
I have been seriously considering one of these - but with the 10T...
Herr Fixxxer
You should definitely try the 8T
Herr Fixxxer
This should already be gone by now
paul h
I so want this. But if I had 449 quid it would have to go on rubbish things like food and electricity.
MoonBassAlpha
Would you consider selling the cab and amp seperately? I'd love to try the cab with my, err, shuttle 3.0... Cheers Jules
Herr Fixxxer
If someone is interested in the head only, why not, but I won't do it if I'm not 100% sure someone is interested in it... you see, it would be much harder to sell separate, IMHO
The Funk
Yep. I'll take the head if Moonie takes the cab. EDIT: Hmm... considering and reconsidering now. Give me a sec to check the specs and the bank balance. Might be interested in the whole lot... Edited June 24, 2009 by The Funk
molan
I have the 10T - handles small gigs and rehearsals against a live drummer with ease
Herr Fixxxer
Sounds good guys, just tell me how much you'd be happy to pay each. P&P may be higher than expected since there would be two insured shippings, so that would raise the total price to, say £470. Bought separately, the head is £439 and the cab £369. What about £215 for the cab and £255 for the head, P&P included? Now THAT's a bargain Edited June 24, 2009 by Herr Fixxxer
Herr Fixxxer
Ok guys, I have someone 100% interested in the whole combo, so since I don't have full confirmation from both of you that you are interested, I would like to give priority to the person who really is, hope you understand. I will let you know if anything changes!
The Funk
No problem!
