thedontcarebear
Here is an awesome Jazz bass, I made this from Warmoth parts, then recently got it back, but on the same day I got it back I also won a cheap P Bass on ebay! I made this into a passive bass as originally it was active, and I prefer the sound like this, it has CTS pots, it actually has cost as much to make it passive as I sold the preamp for! I want a fretless, so this is up for trade for a nice fretless (nothing cheap, this Warmoth is not a cheap bass)! PM me! Collection/trade in Peterborough. Alder Body with Flame Maple top Special finish top with transparent brown back Goncalo Alves neck with Ebony fretboard Straight 10” radius 6150 frets White corian nut Gotoh 201 Bridge (black) Schaller BML Tuners (black) Bartolini 9J1 L/S pickups At the moment it has no knobs on it, but has new CTS pots all round, trying to find some knobs that fit at the moment. thedontcarebear
Will bump this back up, had 3 offers, but nothing that really grabbed my attention. Can always do the fretless plus cash for this if it's a cheap one, or might just sell the awesome neck on this to fund a new fretless one!
lemmywinks
How about swapping necks with the one on my Warmoth? It's a lined Pau Ferro board and neck with matching headstock
thedontcarebear
You got a picture of the back of the neck etc?
lemmywinks
Yeah i'll get some more detailed pics up soon
thedontcarebear
Will also sell this for £400 to allow me to buy a fretless instead, if it's not gone or I don't have a traded neck before payday, I'll keep it and buy one!
fede162162
Hi, does it sound darker than a typical alder/rosewood fender jazz?

fede162162
argh. Unfortunately I am more a Ash-maple guy, but before leaving london I wanted to give myself a memorabilia : a jazz with that smooth 62 sound. Your jazz is absolutely stunning, but I even consider the 62 sound "a dark sound", hence your jazz might sound too dark to me. Maybe is due to the bartolini, ain´t it?not my favouriete type of pick ups
thedontcarebear
Could be because of the Bartolini's! Not sure really, I quite like Bartolini's in general.
