Don't so much sing and twang as roar and thump! Definitely different. Otherwise; OLP Tony Levin Fender Roscoe Beck (but the pick-up switch has to go in favour of a Volume / Volume or Volume / Pan arrangement) Quite like the new Statii - Pino Paladino or Guy Pratt designed models. Dunno if they're actually signatures per se, though. Quote

paul, the Posted September 7, 2007 Posted September 7, 2007 I really can't think of one. All the best used a normal jazz or Precision. I'd like to have a go on Jack Bruce's Warwick. What players ought to have one? Quote
Bullet-Rule Posted September 7, 2007 Posted September 7, 2007 I'd love a Fender P-bass so I'd probably go for the Mike Dirnt. It looks like an awesome bass with the '59 pickups, badass II bridge and a nice '51 body. But I'd mostly buy it for the chunky Precision tone. Quote

The Active version was known as the Power Jazz Bass Special and features some upgrades, like a graphite reinforced tri-lam neck and 22 frets (and an active pre). Quote
