Doesn't seem that expensive compared to going active

Looks interesting. I'm just thinking of swapping out the pups in my USA Jazz from the standard pups currently fitted.
I wonder if this might be an alternative. I'm keeping this one passive.

Am I right in thinking that there is no soldering involved with this... just place the pickup wire in the pink housing and tighten the screws?

+1 for swapping out USA pups.... a bit weak for my liking. I threw a set P/J set of EMG selects, passive, and it did wonders for the bass!

These were some pretty seriously cheap pups too!
