It does look small. The pointies are serious chunks of wood with weight and size being one of the final design considerations. They play and sound incredible though. The Stryker has more growl with the Buzzard having more finesse if that's possible as they are both bonkers!!!!

If only you needed an Ashdown rig Kev…..the Italian Zoid would bring some serious sleekness and look superb in amongst ze Germans

Got my hands on my second Warwick recently, 2008 Streamer Jazzman custom shop in French Violet with matching headstock and planet inlays. Sounds and feels great, so different to my Streamer 6, not least in it has the much thicker Ovankol neck profile. Enjoy :)

I'm surprised considering how many of us on here have just taken advantage of the bargain prices on Thomann that I'm the first to post photos of my MiK Pro Series Star Bass:

As you might know I'm not a particularly big fan of Warwick basses, but this is absolutely nothing like any Warwick I've played before which for me is a good thing. The gold finish and hardware is absolutely stunning. And it completely looks the part on stage with my band...

Here is a pic of my 1990 Warwick Streamer Stage I, modded with an Aguilar OBP3 pre-amp and a set of Nordstrand Big splits... also added a Wenge ramp to her a few months back! love this bass.

Yes, I've got one exactly the same..you've saved me having to photograph it! Incidentally Thomann are getting the fitting Rockbass gig bags in at the end of Sept, on special order if you need one?

I put a post up in the Bass Guitars section, but here's a pic so we can compare 4 against 5 and fretless against fretted. Sadly there's no question whose photos are better, or who looks better with the bass. :(

Good news on the gig bags. Do I need to let Thomann know I want one and if so how?
It has to be a special order ( cost: 89 euros) so I suggest you email them and say you want one. The only issue with a special order is there is no 30 money back guarantee but the proper gig bag according to Warwick is the RB 20631 B/PLUS Gigbag for Warwick Star
Bass so it should fit...! Am I imagining it or have you widened the string spacing a bit on the bridge in your photo? Just waiting for some nylon coated flats for mine...

Ahh that makes sense thanks! So mine is August 2010 :) theplace I bought it from sold it to me as new but maybe its not since is been a few years since its was crafted, although could be as it came in original warwick packaging and with all the warwick stuff. Seen a few of these in this topic already but another won't hurt love this bass.

Beautiful - just like mine. It's good to see another Thumb 4 B.O. on this thread. For me, they're the DB's :)

Well I thought I'd never get a pair of these, however it has been done thankfully. Something about them suits me well so hopefully I'll stop jumping on and off the BC roundabout, well at least for a while B) :

I knew that you could get a broadnecked BO 5 thumb, however I'd only ever seen a few of the fretted ones, let alone a fretless! A nice guy from Denmark sold me the fretless to make the pair, just need to practice that bit more now :P!

Yeah it was a long shot but worked out well B). I'd only seen one broadneck thumb before and that was a fretted one. I'd never seen a fretless version so it was a blessing to get it. It's pretty rare I'm sure and I'll try and use it tastefully.

I doubt I'll be getting much gas any time soon but if I do you'll know  !

Here's a photo of my 5 String Star in an Epiphone Jack Cassidy hard case. It fits and with a little fettling I can drop the neck support a touch lower too, although it is well protected as is. For roughly the same price as the Rockbag that fits the Star Bass ( which is o/s and special order only) this seems a good solution. Only problems is getting a sticker to cover up "Epiphone" written on the outside....
