I assume the stacked EQ pot has a push pull top half to switch between coils?

The rear stacked pot is entirely eq (bass & treble cut and boost), the central pot is the sweep between the two pickups, and the front pot is volume. The front pot has the push-pull thing to switch between active and passive modes.

So a predecessor to the Jazzman then? Cool. I had wondered if the pickup was the original. Thanks for the info.

Welcome back.

Thank you 🙂

Aye, it’s the original MEC. I suppose this must be a predecessor to the Jazzman, sure. I think the rear pickup position is identical.

thanks, very inetersting. I had assumed it was a 3 band EQ as never seen a bass with a single pup which had a blend pot before:crazy:

every day is a school day lol

Lovely! the pointy parts will come in handy for the removal of stage invaders and generally annoying punters

I had a white one of these and an Ashdown rig for over five years and was totally happy with it. Then I discovered Basschat 🤔

Not sure if I am in the right thread but here is my new (8 year old) arrival !

All working nicely except the treble control on the stacked bass/treble push/pull for split coil mode control rotates 360 degrees - hmmm! (And yes the Allen grub screw is tight)
