littleal
maybe she'll get the real thing some day is it a westfield? nice work on the headstock either way
Yes it's a Westfield, I think she wants a streamer stage1 5 string but this is ideal for her to learn on & she plays it more now its been modified
budget bassist
nice, what are the mods other than the bridge and the headstock?
littleal
nice, what are the mods other than the bridge and the headstock?
The only other things are the nut (justa nut1) & the truss rod cover, next will be gold warwick machine heads to match the bridge & knobs. She wanted the mec 2 band eq but since we fitted the bridge it has changed the tone & it sounds really vibrant now, I gigged this bass twice & had some really nice comments on the sound
budget bassist
haha cool, it would be interesting in hearing the sound difference as i've always been a little skeptical as to how much difference changing a lump of metal would actually make! Urban Bassman
Oh...only just seen this thread...I've posted these elsewhere but this is about Warwicks, here are my three beauties. Recent convert Warwick's and can't see myself wanting to play anything else. First up is my Streamer Stage 1 Custom Shop Second is my Thumb Beach Blonde, bought from UK Ken via this site Third (but probably not last) is my Streamer 5 string $$ Special Edition Enjoy Edited January 20, 2010 by urban Bassman

purpleblob
Just tooks some pics (not great ones) of my couple of Warwicks First up we have a proline 6 string lined fretless ... and the nice 7 piece neck and then a 6 string fretted. You know what. I have no idea of the model. I assume it's a Streamer of some type but there's no indication of the model that I can see on the bass and I've never cared enough to find out the model before - I just play it But if you know the model please feel free to enlighten this ignorant person
Linus27
Here's my passive Warwick Corvette Standard. My first introduction to Warwicks. The tone is out of this world, the quality is out of this world and the feel is good. As I am used to Fenders and Stingrays, the only thing I have to get used to is the smaller body and the longer neck. Still, I am loving it,

warwickhunt
My latest acquisition... 86 - Stage I fretless. Many similarities with Ben's bass (Cherry body, Wenge neck, 1 piece bridge etc.) but Ben's bass is the original incarnation with the spade headstock (serial number on the headstock rear) and straight tuners as per the Spector NS basses; whereas mine is subtly different as the headstock shape changed (to avoid the litigation with Spector) and the serial number is stamped top of the headstock with the usual letter prefix/number/year but they hadn't yet moved to the angled tuners or the 2 piece bridge.

Mine also has the original EMG's but they're very worn, this bass has been played to death. PS: It was my very good friend Dom who bought your '90 Bartolini Humbucker Streamer from you! He's a happy chap! Is this where his money went?!

And yes, Dom's purchase funded this, which at under 8.5lb is far gentler on my dicky shoulder than the 90 Ltd Ed (which is however a stunning bass, regardless or perhaps because of the weight).
