Lovely bass, @Fionn. You're not itching to remove the frets by any chance, are you?

Ha! No ... because you’re eventually going to cave in and sell me your fretless 😀

Streamer Pro M (1998).

For someone who loves both Streamers and Stingrays, this feels like the perfect bass. It’s possibly my all-time favourite.

The first of them had wenge necks and only one preamp, which were soon replaced by the ovangkol/ twin preamp models. The controls on this are stacked Bass/ Treble, Pickup Blend, and Volume (with push/ pull Passive Switch). When in passive mode, tone is controlled via the pickup blend. The tonal range of the Pro M is deceptively broad. It’s very versatile, given how closely the twin J pickups sit together within that single housing. There’s a hum-cancelling dummy coil between the pickups too, so it’s very clean sounding when on one pickup or the other.

This bass is the very definition of ‘punchy’ 🙂

Due to @Fionn feelings I removed my message. He threatened (by PM of course) me and now I'm afraid because I make myself a terrible enemy.

BTW, it was a joke answering @dyerseve poke.

The Warwick Porn thread isn’t the place to be tearing someone’s pride and joy to shreds, even if it is a ‘joke’.

I appreciate that you edited your post though, @Marcoelwray

This is exactly the bass that needs a Delano DJC 😀 (quite affordable you know)

I'd love to see that very same bass in Boiré or Doussié, "groovmasta" guaranteed.

What’s the Delano DJC?

if the body of this was Boire it would be the weight of a small planet 😂

Thank you for the totally unbiased recommendation 😜

is the volume affected by swapping coils / series / parallel etc on those ?

Series is always a bit louder but as it is a quad coil, or dual humbucker, nope.

thats a stunner mate! Is that a ramp between the neck pup and fretboard? hard to tell from the angle...

Sorry to take 18 months to reply but yet it is. I don't like a lot of depth behind the strings when double-thumping so had an ebony ramp made. :)

Going to be picking up 2 Warwick Rockbass Corvettes next week a 4 string and 5 string I got the both for £350 which I didn't think was a bad deal?

I know they are only Rockbasses but I've always wanted a Warwick so I'm over the moon

The 5 string needs a bit of tlc, the only kick in the nuts is that they are for my 40th birthday which isn't till October and the missus has told me I can't have them till then ☹️

Hey, @Jimothey Yes, getting the 2 together for £350 is pretty good. Sorry to hear about the wait though.

You missus, is she good with a riding crop as well?  Man, she's cruel!   :P

He used to have one 6-string outfitted with more frets, to add microtones. But I guess that's now the fretless 6 with the Asian ebony fingerboard.
