tauzero Posted March 3, 2023 Posted March 3, 2023 Well, that has all the fretted bases covered, now you just need a matching set of fretlesses. Lovely wood on all of those. 1 Quote

redbandit599 Posted March 7, 2023 Posted March 7, 2023 Here's my 3 Corvettes. The bubinga 4 string is a German passive model that I've had since new ( sometime in the 90s) gigged a lot but still looking and sounding great. Doesn't get to come out to play these days as I need 5s. The black one is a 32" Rockbass, it's a powerful and fat bass, not as growly as the others but very punchy. I use this at gigs where space is tight. Last one is a German Standard active / passive that I got from Bass Bros. Nut was knackered so stuck a brass one on. It's obviously had a life before coming to me. Now my number one gigging bass. It's neck has been fondled lovingly by several old musos in one of our regular venues, provokes lots of "Now, that's a bass." Type comments! 🤣 3 Quote
Henrythe8 Posted March 15, 2023 Posted March 15, 2023 Foolishly sold all the 4-strings. The Boiré4 was most probably one of the best basses I had. Quote
NickA Posted March 15, 2023 Posted March 15, 2023 The 4 is boire? Looks just like my ovangkol one. I thought boire went out with the bartolinis. Quite a pod there! Quote
Henrythe8 Posted March 23, 2023 Posted March 23, 2023 I confirm, it's a 98 Boiré. One of the last. The Bartolini/Boiré were the early ones (89/early 90ies). The body was also a tad thinner on the early ones. 1 Quote
Risk101 Posted May 19, 2023 Posted May 19, 2023 Can’t remember if I posted this when I got it but quite recently I managed to get my hands on a Thumb Ltd Dirty Blonde 5 after foolishly selling mine years ago (that’s how rare they are!) 13 Quote
Risk101 Posted June 7, 2023 Posted June 7, 2023 Just back from a full set-up, clean and restring done by Richy’s Guitar Workshop. First time I’ve used Richy and was v impressed. Recommended if you’re based around/in London. https://www.richysguitarworkshop.com 4 Quote
Lfalex v1.1 Posted July 12, 2023 Posted July 12, 2023 Nice job. They look like Original Warwick fretwire. Where did you get it done? 1 Quote

They're actually Sintoms Special Bronze 3.0 - have'em also on my TNT5, great frets btw. I Had the job (excellent btw!) done by my friend in Warsaw, PL. Quote
Dazed Posted July 20, 2023 Posted July 20, 2023 (edited) I’ve just posted this in General but thought it would be appreciated here too. You dont often see a Dolphin being used in the wild so having discovered this today I thought I’d share it with you. I’ve been listening to Thumpermonkey on and off for a couple of years. But It was only today I watched some of their videos on YouTube and discovered their bass player Sam Warren uses a Warwick Dolphin Broadneck 5 string. 😎 Edited July 20, 2023 by Dazed 2 Quote
Lfalex v1.1 Posted July 25, 2023 Posted July 25, 2023 Fixed the Infinity SN4. Now sporting 4 licensed Hipshot Ultralights and a brass JAN III. I can confirm that they're a drop in replacement. No extra drilling required. Tuning stability is better, too. 4 Quote

basexperience Posted August 2, 2023 Posted August 2, 2023 (edited) Here's my three - all 2000s era German-built, with a 2002 ltd ed on the right. The Thumb I got last year, it's got the most beautiful grain I've ever seen on a thumb. Just stunning. And after a couple of setups recently, the blonde is growling nicely. They are just the loveliest things, Warwicks, aren't they? The thumb I used on a recording recently and the producer was blown away by the tone, absolutely loved it. Other side of the room has a couple of Warwick NEO cabs and a Pro Tube IX 900W amp stacked there as well. Edited August 2, 2023 by basexperience 8 Quote
Risk101 Posted August 2, 2023 Posted August 2, 2023 Love the Thumb. As you say, that grain is exceptional !! 👍🏻 1 Quote
admiralchew Posted August 25, 2023 Posted August 25, 2023 Perhaps not the best picture of my Warwicks but I got the glue gun out to add cutaway pads to my Hiscox cases and took a quick photo of the results: 6 Quote
Risk101 Posted August 26, 2023 Posted August 26, 2023 Nice job! The Warwick on the left is my favourite - Ltd edition? 1 Quote
