gafbass02
Just bought back my old Streamer LX that I sold on here something like 15 years ago. Always missed it, so pleased to have it back. Sadly it’s had some damage in the meantime, and it’s cost a bit to get going, but now with its new EMG insides, it’s sounding great. Last two pics are from the first time around, back when I still had long hair Edited January 19 by gafbass02
basso navo
Third in the family! My solid body double bass made by Emanuel Wilfer, and my Stagg EUB welcome their sibling: Warwick RockBass Streamer fretless. Original wires replaced with La Bella flatwounds. Now I shall work on my fingerspacing, as the "fret"board is a lot shorter than those of the uprights.
Rolf
Two can't really be considered a collection, but I'm working on it!
russ.c
I have a heavily modified RockBass Streamer. The original frets were uneven and one had come loose, and I hadn’t played it much in the year I owned it from new. So I had it re-fretted with stainless jumbos by Feline Guitars. The fret job was more than half the original price of the bass, but well worth it IMO. They also installed a pair of Delano SBC 4 HE/S-4 quad coil humbuckers, switches, and a scratch plate. I later moved 2 of the switches a bit. I also installed a custom John East mixing amp, so the knobs are master volume, blend and tone. Each pickup can emulate P, reverse P, series and parallel. I tend to use P and series modes the most, and I’ll play on the neck, bridge, or blended, depending on the tone I’m after. It’s pretty versatile. Am thinking I might swap out the John East for a 3 band pre at some point. There are 2 switches for each pickup, and getting my head around the schematic took some doing, but I provided my design to the luthier and they did a super fine wiring job. Somehow it worked first time when they handed it back to me… a misspent youth with a soldering iron and an ‘As’ level in electronics served me well.
WinterMute
I had an 87 5 string thumb, it's posted elsewhere on this thread, I sold it in the early 2010's when I foolishly thought I'd not be playing bass anymore... I'v finally got round to replacing it with this beauty courtesy of our very own Cosmo Valdemar. A 1996 Thumb 5 NT with MEC rather than EMG electrics. Reminded me of why I played it's older cousin for over 20 years, what a fine instrument it is.
bassbora
Do Thumbs not usually come with black hardware? Is this a custom option or has it been changed out? My two '89 Thumbs both have black hardware.

My two '89 Thumbs both have black hardware. It wasn't a 'standard' for Warwick to have hardware in any particular finish back in the late 80's early 90's. I've seen gold coloured hardware (knerbs and bridges) as often as I've seen black. The only other finish was titanium (dull nickel coloured) which was introduced on the Dolphin iirc.
WinterMute
Gold was an option, still is as far as I know, my 87 had gold hardware, I kind of like that this one does too.
Chris2112
I'll have to do a proper thread for this soon, my recently acquired 2009 Dolphin Pro-I. I've wanted one of these since I was about 15, when I was first getting on Talkbass and seeing all the lovely boutique basses that were at the height of their popularity at the time. I've owned a few Warwicks over the years and played even more and this one is an absolute 10/10. More gushing praise will follow when I give it a full write-up.

mike f
1997 Pro-M with an East preamp. Purchased this Saturday just gone. Colour is Almond Sunburst. After over a decade I finally return to owning a Warwick and bloody hell I’ve missed them. Edited June 25 by mike f
Risk101
That looks lovely and a deceptively simple set up. Ive just had to replace 2 machine heads on my 2006 Dirty Blonde as the mechanisms sheared. Couldn’t have it happen a 3rd time so replaced all 5! Great that so many original parts are available!
mike f
@Risk101 thanks. Not a finish I would normally go for but it’s growing on me quickly. There are a lot of sounds in there, and I like the look of the single pickup, and I’m keeping the blend right down the middle. Playing-wise it’s a dream and I couldn’t leave the shop without it. It was one of those occasions when you just find the right one.
simondee
Hey Warwick pals. On a similar note to the above I have a flame maple red 4 string 1997 Streamer Pro-M that needs a new home. What's the rough value on one of these you reckon?

The last three I was following roughly sold for between 650 and 850, that's in the last 4 month. I'd be interested if a black, white or green one was available. Bassist on the Run
My first thumb. I am extremely happy with it and now looking out for the 5 string of this. That colour is gorgeous if I do say so myself

mike f
97 Streamer Pro-M, that’s mine above. I’m after recommendations for a new preamp as I think there is something better sounding than the East preamp that’s in it. Any suggestions? Aguilar?
