Picked up this heavily played but somewhat neglected 91 Streamer recently

cleaned 20 years of gunk, smoke and even lemon oil coatings from it and now it looks like this

and after cleaning the hardware it's looking a lot healthier

and is now away getting a much needed refret.

A companion for my LX
Finally got a camera that actually works so I'm posting pics of my Bubinga Dophin SN...
Now sold to Augie in Australia - sent today by FedEx - a pity it had to go out of the UK.

Ironically I received a post from somebody trying to buy it about 20mins after FedEx picked it up..

Very nice and what lovely flame. Are you replacing the frets with the Warwick brass jobbies?

I have recently joined the Warwick owners club with this '93 Walnut bodied Thumb 5 BO from littleal on here.

I have gigged it a few times now and have to say that I may not been playing my trusty jazz bass again! I love it.

Hey Dean,

I'm glad you like it, I knew you would, there is something about the tone on the early bo 5's that no other bass has,

Exactly the same thing happened to me after trying to sell my Warmoth for about a year with no interest. A UK buyer wanted it about 5 minutes after i'd agreed to send it abroad!

Glad the Dolphin found a good home anyways.

Gorgeous stuff, whatever it is.
Yep, "mahogany pommelé" according to Warwick, and it does look nice, with a good 3D effect. I'd been thinking that a mahogany bass would give me the sort of sound I like, but I find regular mahogany just reminds me of my Gran's wardrobe, so I wanted something that looked a bit different.

Here is my new Warwick, traded from Warwickhunt just a couple of days ago. It's an absolute beauty. It plays brilliantly, it looks fantastic but the real joy is the tone. I plan to get some new photos taken of it tomorrow. I've never been so excited about a bass since I got my ACG, which bodes well!

Ebony board mate? My favourite!

I love the tone of mine too, it's all I could want! I love my Streamer CT.
