Hi All

If anyone is travelling and staying over go to the hotels section on the site, gives you a list of all the hotels in the area.

I'm seriously hoping I can make this one, I've had gigs every other time. I know Stevie very well and think he and the guys have done a great job in pulling this together into a seriously respected event. I would love to chew the fat with Nathan East.

Nathan East. Nuff said. Worth the entry alone.

PS can we have a banner at the top of the page with a dodgy wound string?

Brilliant, missed last years, but hopefully not this year.

Hope you're well Gary, it's been a while, I don't think I've seen you since Bass Day '07, the first one at RNCM, or maybe the Jem gig at the academy, can't remember.

Hi Russ

Fine thanks mate, had a my first little one born lat last year so he is keeping us busy at the moment.
Should be good again this year.

Yeah it must have been the first RNCM I last saw you.

Another few artists to confirm which if they come off should make it an amazing day.

Oh nice one, they keep you busy don't they? I'll bet you haven't got that nice music room in the cellar all to yourself anymore !!

Looking forward to BD '09, I'll be there for Adam Nitti alone, can't wait.

I'll be there again this year.

Nathan East......very nice. Looking like another great show already.

If anyone does want to stay over, give me a shout. My wife owns a "serviced apartments" business in the centre of Manchester. Get an apartment for the same price or less as a standard city centre hotel room. I'm sure I can get some "mates rates" sorted out.

Cheers,
Pete.

Just how many UK bass events in Manchester city centre are there?

I'm a little tempted but it'll cost me a few bob to get there. Are there some good discounts to be had on strings'n'things there?

Hi All

Just a quick update, some more artist confirmed (check out the Artist Profile section) http://www.bassday.co.uk

Also a couple of new big additions should be up in a week or two so keep an eye out.

See you there

'Pity it's in Manchester - a grim, grey and hostile dump.

I speak from experience - I live in it.

Edit: oh yeah, and if there's any old hippies knocking about on these pages, Gong and Steve Hillage are on at the Academy 2 on Saturday night. Trippy gig then off for a curry in Rusholme (Manchester's saving grace).

If anyone wants to come to this and needs a place to crash, I live about 15-20 mins walk away and will be happy to put people up if they fancy coming but not paying to stay over.
