If memory serves, he was asking some truly colossal sum the first time he listed it, and I pointed it out at the time as a piece of complete tosh. Now that the price has at last fallen to the point where some sucker ... oops, I meant enthusiast might take it seriously, I'll point out that this is a mid-70's or early-80's bass of not much intrinsic value. Take away the link to Ocean Colour Scene and the claimed Macca signature, and this bass would struggle to get anywhere near £1000. I'm quite prepared to believe the Minchella connection, but absolutely no provenance is offered for Macca's signature and without that all he has a common bass where someone has ruined the finish by scribbling on it in permanent marker!
