dangerboy
Here's an Epiphone Thunderbird that I modded as an experiment. If I put in some nice single-coil pickups, with the pole pieces under the strings like on a Rick, could I get something out that was more trebly, more biting and generally more exciting than the Thunderbird sound? Answer: yes. On the other hand, this bass now sounds like every other bass I own, so it's time to move it on. The pickups are Eastwoods, from one of these: http://www.myrareguitars.com/pictures/hifl...rtsunFINAL1.jpg The bass is in really good nick - a couple of dings on the headstock (T'birds are SO LONG!) but otherwise very nice indeed. I'm looking for £160 collected for this. I'm in North London. If you're a fan of the stock Thunderbird sound I can put the original p'ups back in and you can have it for £130 (be warned there will be some extra holes around the pickups from the installation of the single-coils. I can post if you really want me to (allow £20 for this), but it'll be a pain as Thunderbirds don't fit in a lot of bass boxes! Moos3h
I'm probably being blind, but does it have a case?
dangerboy
Sorry, no case. It fits in some standard gig bags, just about. Edited August 31, 2009 by dangerboy
neepheid
Ach, if I wasn't about to embark upon home ownership for the first time, I would have seriously considered taking this off your hands. Sorry man.
