bigthumb Posted July 4, 2009 Posted July 4, 2009 (edited) Here's the original listing: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...&hl=lakland I acquired the bass in a trade recently and to be honest its not my cup of tea. I'm used to P-basses and I find I have nowhere to rest my thumb when playing. Fussy 'eh? But that's me! Its true what everybody says about these, the sound is massive and very versatile. The preamp allows you to set the mid range frequencies which gives you endless tone possibilities. I took it to a gig tonight and was thoroughly impressed with the sound but I struggled a bit with it. I know if I keep it I'll never really use it which is daft. I'd be looking for £500 cash or trades considered Cheers Edited July 29, 2009 by bigthumb

greyparrot Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009
Rather pathetic BUMP
Im a great fan of Jerry Scheff and saw him using this at a recent gig (but the US model) I played one of these in the bass centre and it has a great tone, and really nice neck, with rolled finger board, and a solid feel. Has a very singing kind of tone, a little more mellow than a jazz if i remember right. Good luck on this one, its a great bass made for a great player! (see my u tube siggy!)
