Hi guys, I've just fitted a Hipshot ultralite drop D tuner, but when I try and drop the tuning by flicking the lever the peg doesn't go all the way to the lower pitch and to the stop. I still have to give the peg a little pull to fully recline onto the nut stop if that makes sense??

Once fully over, it's fine. I'm not talking about tuning, but in how easily the peg moves when the lever is flicked.

As I've never used a drop tuner, is this normal?? I expected that once I pull the lever it would drop to the pitch.

I've had one for a while. In my experience, you need to push it all the way down. There is a little spring like tension in mine, but i always move it without relying on the springyness.

Is the nylon spacer/washer between the mounting plate and tuning peg installed and did you lubricate the contact points?

I didn't lubricate the spacer, only the tip of the lever.

What it best to lubricate with? LOL never even heard of lithium grease!!??

Vaseline does a brilliant job.
