Old Horse Murphy
I've recently been on a quest to replace my Fender US P bass, which I was having trouble hearing due to the P bass frequency. Sadly, it was by far the nicest, most comfortable bass I'd ever owned, but I wasn't prepared to have it butchered to make it more audible to me. So, after a flurry of emails, I ended up with Molan's (Barrie's) Fender US 75 Reissue Jazz on loan (hopefully long-term!) and I recorded with it last Thursday. It's an amazing bass and sounds wonderful. I'm deeply indebted to Barrie for his kindness and consideration. He truly is one of the nicest guys I've met and I'm incredibly grateful to him. I'll be even more grateful if he agrees to sell it to me I ended up trading my P Bass with Anthomp for his Stingray 5 stringer and picked it up this morning. I've just changed the strings and given it a good play and now wonder why I ever got rid of my old SR5 in the first place! It plays and sounds amazing, so thanks to Antony too. Putting both side by side, they actually look great together. It was only recently that I discovered the beauty of Natural basses and I'm definitely a convert. The black one in the middle I've owned for just over 8 years. A bit dog-eared, sometimes a bit growly and often the lead doesn't stay on, but definitely a keeper as well as being my favourite. I wouldn't be without her for all the money in the world Edited July 5, 2009 by Old Horse Murphy

Wanna meet in a car park somewhere to swap? PS the two basses look great together * His name is Roger the cat (yep bad joke - I wanted to say to mates that I would come home to Roger the cat)

EdwardHimself
Nice, i'm liking having a 4 and 5 string bass at the moment, pretty much covers all of the bases in terms of tunings and that.

Platypus
That hound's looking a bit shifty - I think he just been scent marking Barrie's 75 Reissue....
