I picked one of these up for about £100.00 s/h...
Great value....
Stuck a Badass on it..and it sings great...

As he has stopped aging guitars to order does anyone have any other ideas??

Personally I don't think any of the 'scarring' looks natural, but then again unless you know where every scrape and ding on your bass has come from then it very rarely can.

Here's one I made earlier....started as an old Brandoni bitser (was oil finished) and ended up with an old style paint job, bashes and all. The colour doesn't really work in the photo, but its Fiesta Red (pinkish but more red than it look on my screen). Sounds great (with flats) but I've got a bit of earthing hum I can't get rid of.

You can do it yourself, :) but its not cheap or easy...
