Geddys nose Posted July 5, 2009 Posted July 5, 2009 (edited) Bought about 2 months ago S/H from PMT Salford but TBH I prefer my Mesa for my valve sound. This is one of the last US made ones and is in good nick(racked since new which was 05'ish) , Dave Lunt gave it a full service about 3 weeks ago and all the valves are in good working order. Not Interested in Trades I'm afraid owe my Mrs some money. I'm based about 20 Miles North of Manchester. Murph_Orpheus Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 (edited) I have a Mesa Big Block that I'd be willing to trade. Only a year old and been rack mounted the whole time. I also have the original head casing for it. Although the fact that I live in Ireland might be a bit of a problem Edited July 15, 2009 by Murph_Orpheus
Johnandahalf Posted July 17, 2009 Posted July 17, 2009 Is this still available? I'm very interested, I would need a couple of weeks to sell my svt-4 first, unless for some odd reason you'd be interested in swapping for it? cheers
waynepunkdude Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 Impressive looking bit of kit, good luck mate.
Crikey! Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 Just been recording through one of these. Brings out the best in any bass.

WHUFC BASS Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 I played through one of these recently at an open air gig. Great sound that really surprised me as I'm not a big fan of Ampeg but this thing is great for Rock / metal / thrash etc.
Geddys nose Posted August 16, 2009 Author Posted August 16, 2009 Thanks for the nice comments I'm half tempted to keep it and sell a bass instead to raise money.
molan Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 I have an earlier, non-pro, version of one of these. They are often, mistakenly, thought of as just being usable for 'rock' stuff. Whilst they are obviously brilliant for this they also sound really nice for soul & funk stuff. You can get a lovely glassy clean sound from one - all those glowing bottles just sound great for lots of situations
