WhiteWalls
I've been using an SWR WP400 for about 3 or so months now and it's been absolutely great. The one I have been using is from the drummer in my band's studio but I'm now going to be purchasing my own. It's worked great for me so far, one of - if not the - best rigs I've played. However I've also been recommended the Bugera BTX36000 Nuke and also the Carvin BX500. My heart is still set on the SWR and I'm pretty sure that's what I'll be going with, but has anyone played either the Bugera or Carvin and would recommend them? Cheers! RussFM
Are Bugera amps just pricey Behringers? If so... avoid!
WhiteWalls
Well the Bugera Nuke is selling for £389 at the moment. But there's a few things about it that are putting me off of it. It's been recommended to buy by someone and been told to avoid by another!
RussFM
For £389 I'm sure you can get SWR, GK, Ashdown, Hartke, Peavey, Warwick... and a lot of nice second hand amps from here! Buying used is definitely going to get you better value for money.
MuseMatt
+1, go second hand, preferably from this place. Good stuff, honest people and definately as good as new stuff. Oh did I mention it's good stuff ?
EdwardHimself
I definetly agree with going used. I got myself a REAL SWR amp + 4x10" cab from 1987 for £250! So imagine what you could get for £389, something better probably lol.
WhiteWalls
Yeah it's definitely an option. I'll have a look at what's available. Cheers!
