DanOwens
Hey guys I'm modding a volume pedal to be used as a expression pedal. I know the pot needs a log taper and has to be 100k (for this application). The thing I'm struggling with is the travel of the pot. The travel of the pot is about 90 degrees whereas the replacements I've bought travel about 270 degrees. What should I be asking for in the electronics shop to get a pot with this 90 degree travel? DanOwens
I'm going in an hour. Anybody? Dan
iamapirate
I'd expect that you'd need the 90 degree one, seeing as the wah only goes to 90 degrees. but the only DIY jobbies ive done is a mute pedal and a single loop selector!
DanOwens
Well I went to Maplins and the assistant seemed reasonably knowledgable but had never encountered a 90 degree travel pot. I bought a standard one but I doubt its going to do the job I need it to! I'll check Banzai later too but any experiences or solutions would be great! cheddatom
some sort of jiggery-pokery could sort it. Maybe some elastic bands and some sellotape?
