good places for gigs in the North East

we're embarking on a bit of a mini tour in September and are looking for places in the North East for a gig.

We're not too arsed about where it is, Newcastle/Middlesbrough/Durham anywhere really.

Anybody know some people or places up there we could ask?

Err, it's kind of indie-schmindie stuff really! People have compared us to basically every Madchester band you've ever heard of with a bit of a Doors-y/ psychedelic slant
