Lakland 44-01

Due to me never being happy with one thing for very long, anyone got or had a 4401? Really like the 4402 but can`t go that amount of cash. After buying Barry44`s ibby I am right in the mood for something with active pickups. So, any opinions?

I had one once. One of the few basses I had new. (From the Gallery London). Really good quality and some great tones.

The 44-01 and 44-02 have got active [b]preamps[/b] not active [b]pickups[/b], sounds pedantic but its important distincton. IMO the 01 is also more flexible than the 02. Good basses but a bit expensive for what they are IMO.
