BottomEndian
Following the acquisition of a Barefaced Vintage, the old Peavey rig's gotta go. So, up for sale we have the following: Peavey Max 700 head: [s]£200 ono[/s] SOLD Peavey 410 TVX cab with variable tweeter @ 4 ohms: [s]£100 ono[/s] SOLD Peavey 115 BVX BW (that stands for Black Widow, BTW) cab @ 4 ohms: [s]£80 ono[/s] SOLD That's a whole lotta loudness for not much wonga. With both cabs running off the head, it's a huge black monolith of bottom end. It's got a really straight-forward, uncoloured sound, with punishing volume levels. All in well-used nick, 5 or 6 years old. Scuffed and scraped Tolex from a good few years of rehearsal and gigging, but no actual damage to head or cabs, and everything works perfectly. Any questions, fire away. Preferably collection from the Tyneside area, but I may be able to meet halfway over sensible distances, especially down Yorkshire way. Now for the shoddy pictures. The head: The 1x15: The 4x10: And the whole shebang: Here's the standard manufacturer spiel. I know the stuff about the head is bang on, but the specs of the cabs have changed a bit over the last decade or so, so they might be for a slightly different version. Either way, they're close to reality : Max 700 Head Punishingly loud top box design cranks out 700W @ 2 ohms, 475W @ 4 ohms, or 275W @ 8 ohms. Features a 3-band active EQ with shiftable midrange control, lively contour control, and -10dB pad switch. Has an active crossover with variable frequency and balanced controls; a buffered tuner send jack; footswitchable post-EQ effects loop; transformer balanced XLR jack with pre-/post-EQ send switch and ground lift; DDT power amp compression with defeat switch; and preamp out/power amp in jacks. Dimensions 23.5" W x 8.5" H x 13" D. Weight 52.5 lbs. 410 TVX cab 4 ohms. 350 Watts RMS continuous / 700 Watts program. Four 10" Sheffield® bass speakers. Front-ported enclosure. Horn-loaded tweeter w/ L-pad attenuator for tweeter and protection circuitry. Frequency response: 30 Hz to 15 kHz. One 1/4" phone jack input connection. Dimensions: 24.75" W x 19.25" D x 28.25" H. Weight: 97.5 lb. Rubber feet. 115 BVX BW cab 4 ohms. 400 Watts RMS continuous / 800 Watts program. One 15" Black Widow® 1502 speaker. Specially-ported enclosure. Frequency response: 30 Hz to 3.5 kHz. One 1/4" phone jack input connection. Dimensions: 22.75" W x 20.00" D x 27.50" H. Weight: 86 lbs. Metal feet. BottomEndian
Oh yeah, should have said: feel free to approach me with offers of trades. Don't get me wrong -- I'd prefer to sell, but I'm always interested in odd bits and bobs. Especially preamps, lightweight power amps, heads and pedals. Moos3h
If you'll pardon the expression, do you get 'down south' much? Interested in one if not both of the cabs...but based in Stevenage. I am up in Worcestershire this weekend though. Cheers, James

I occasionally end up in Harrogate, but that's about as far as I habitually drift. Sorry. Worcestershire's a bit of a stretch. Actually, I'm down in Harrogate this weekend (although very busy), and I'm up in Edinburgh at the beginning of August (again, pretty busy), so there are extra possibilities for meet-ups if anyone round those areas is interested.
