JTUK
Have to say we don't do anything different at weddings that we wouldn't be prepared to do otherwise and we insist they need to know and approve our set as that is what they will get. One or two recent additions that we have been asked to do at weddings became part of our set....namely 'Roadhoue blues' by Blue Oyster Cult.( far better than the Doors version which was originally requested) Sometimes it helps if you give the bookers some credit that they might have a wide musical taste and they might want stuff by Starsailor or the like... But then we don't chase weddings and wouldn't call ourselves a wedding band which could cover all basses... there are plenty of bands that do that..and we would politely point them that way. There is no point being unsuitable for the gig no matter what the money is...
Davy
Don't eat any of the big cake at the front of the room and don't slap the kids when they run about the stage during the break(the parents don't like it and they're usually plastered by that point)!
