MythSte Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 Well, Its a chance for you to see me in all my glory! Or, possibly, see me at a time before i realised drinking a bottle of Jager before going on stage wasnt such a great idea... I live and learn? It gets a bit cringy towards the end when we do the rock and roll speedy up bit. It sounded good on stage but looking back, perhaps not so much! Nice to see what you think about the rest though! Horrible bass tone. Just DI'd. I'll stop making excuses now. The Locals at T Quote
Dubs Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 Good stuff mate, I enjoyed that - 2nd one was my fave. Quote
Linus27 Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 Good stuff. Your lead singer looks a bit like the lead singer from Ash. Tell me though, why do you all wear your guitars so high up? It looks really uncomfortable. Not taking piss, serious question. Quote
Musicman20 Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 I like it! I also much prefer my bass higher up. I used to have it pretty low...and it was fun....but I played awful sometimes. I find fingerstyle is much better with the bass higher up. Plus...I think its better for posture....or something. Quote
MythSte Posted July 13, 2009 Author Posted July 13, 2009 I cant speak for the other guys, But i find im much more in control of my picking hand that high up. I cant pull off the mutes as well with it low! Quote
Mr Fudge Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 Obviously a nod to the Arctic Monkies, but everyone starts by sounding like their contemporaries/ favourites a bit. You play like seasoned vets who have been together for years. Obviously some hard work has been put in and there is some excellent playing given your years. Good Luck. Quote
