Now there's a thought. I have boxes of guitarist mags going back years that I keep sort of trying to sell. Shame I didn't think of it while I was off getting the hand fixed!!. I shall have to investigate exactly what is under the stairs.

Yeah, I'd noticed that seller.

I can't help thinking that it's a bit of a shame to break up old mags like that though - a bit parting out an old bass. Great way of maximising your income though, you'd only have to sell a couple of reviews to make more than most mags would probably fetch.

Does anyone remember a UK bass magazine from the early eighties that was full of gear reviews - can't for the life of me remember the title - but it was an A5 size mag. I was trying to remember the title the other day when I came across an Alligator combo from that period (remember them, with the dark green covering?). It brought a flood of memories back.

(EDIT - before anyone else says it - yes, I am an old fart.)

Some of the Music Ground shops in Denmark Street have the walls "papered" with pages from early-60's music newspapers, interviews with the Beatles & Stones, photos of Lulu and Cilla Black, etc. I assume they're repro rather than original, but I wouldn't mind getting hold of some.
