Linus27
I originally had a 1998 Musicman Stingray with maple neck which I sold in 2001. It was the nicest, flatest neck ever. I loved it. Now move forward to now and I have bought a 2005 Musicman Stingray and the neck is pretty damn chunky. Now is there a build difference between the necks on Stingrays or has my playing just changed over the years and all this playing of Jazz basses has made Stingray necks feel much fatter than what I originally remember? WHUFC BASS
I had a 1988 stingray years ago and remember the neck being paticularly chunky back then too.
martthebass
Must be some variation then L, The maple/maple neck on my 1990 (matt lacquer) was a bit chunky (I was playing it back to back with a Jazz at the time), wheras the 2005 Maple/Maple Ray I've currently got is quite slim, fast and easy to play.
