Eamesy
I really don’t want to sell this but as I am moving country at the end of this year I’m afraid I have to. Up for sale is my Henri Delille double bass, Realist pickup and Turtle case. Please note: I am selling these items together and will not accept offers for individual items. Henri Delille Double Bass I bought this bass new from Bridgewood & Neitzert late 2008 for £1,600. It has a carved front, ebony fingerboard and was professionally set up at the shop, which included a new set of strings and a new bridge. I would describe the sound as warm and full, while the bass itself feels comfortable to play. Cosmetically, there is a chip on the bottom left of the back of the instrument – which is the only damage really worth mention – and general scuffs and wear along some of the edges of the body and scroll. I have used this bass mainly at home and for studio work and for about six live performances with a folk band. Realist Pickup I have used this pickup through my Trace Elliot 1210 and direct into a PA system, both with satisfying results. I’ve had practically no feedback problems live and negligible colouration on the actual sound of my bass when recording. This was also bought from and professionally fitted by Bridgeword & Neitzert. Turtle Case Bought at the same time as my bass for £220. Very good case, which has stood up to the tube at rush hour and being wheeled across Soho on a Friday night! Has 3 inch padding throughout with extra protection at the bridge, back and scroll. The straps are actually useable and don’t feel as though they are about to tear off. There are handles literally everywhere and a total of four zipped pockets. Realistically I am open to offers around £1,300. Buyer will have to collect (for obvious reasons) from Stoke Newington, which is in North London. Please feel free to contact me if you require further information or more specific photographs. Edited July 18, 2009 by Eamesy
