JBassist Posted July 19, 2009 Posted July 19, 2009 ok basically my amp is broken here are the ''symptons'' high and low inputs are both high makes a crackles noise when bass is pluged in volume lowers when playing its not the bass or cable cos ive tryed others how much will it cost to get fixed or what is the problem i will really apreciated any help Quote
Musky Posted July 19, 2009 Posted July 19, 2009 Might be something as simple as a dirty input jack socket. Try squirting some switch cleaner in there and inserting a jack a few times. Or just open the amp up (unpowered!) and give it a decent cleaning. Quote

Manufacturers often put maps inside amps to affect the tone. A map of the Shetlands will give you a peak in the high-mids which will sound really sweet. You did put the map back in, right? S.P. Quote
GreeneKing Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 And I hope you used a genuine 'Duck Dunn' pipe cleaner or those low mids will be suffering Glad its sorted Quote

steve-soar Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 There may have been an issue with a jumper lead. Quote
