Worth it?

I see a lot of people on the site rate some squiers quite highly.

Oh and additional: If that deal was local to me I'd have already picked it up

Foned the guy and says its a bit marked but has a Status pick-up in it and the bridge has been replaced with a gotoh.
picking it up tonite might pass it on at cost + p&p as I dont really need it but it seemed a bargain.

its just a shame about the star, i'd probably have a squier mike dirnt already if it wasnt for that star.

It was the original plate and just sprayed and was actually starting to flake off.
It was a really nice bass and went to MrJim who had tried to buy it the day before I got there with the cash.
Apologies to all dibbers.
I never understood the star thing.

Well...the scratchplate has since been returned to white. I must have been lucky with the paint stripper cos it did'nt tarnish the finish of the plastic (The painbrsh wasnt as lucky however). Managed to get the rest off the edges by shaving off with a stanley knife. I dont understand the star either... its currently covered witha sticker more suiting my tastes. It is a cracking bass, especially with the upgrades:
