Steve thanks for all the help...spoke to celestion this morning and they're giving me 8 for £350.00 and i get added to the celestion artist roster

just got my cab back from pacific sound today and WOW!!! these speakers are bloody incredible!
thanks for eveyone's advice/input - glad I didn't get a new cab now

As a general rule I am not surpirsed that cost comes very much into play with 8x10 cabs.
The Ampeg cab always had poor speakers IME.. but was partly saved by there being so many of them..
