SS73
Feel like I'm stating the obvious here, for sure you guys have seen it? or were you perhaps hoping to snap it up for good price? well I was, but I looked this morning and its already up to £2k with 8 days to go!!!!!!!!!!. Could never understand why people bid so early. Its a very late one 401 4th quarter of 2001 and has the oval plate, very little info, think the seller knows its going to sell. TheButler
£2000 and V8 in an ebay listing, heres me thinking it was a Corvette LS7 engine. I too must express my annoyance at people that bid THAT early.
Hamster
I don't like the feedback profile of the seller - anone else think this may be a scam?
Kiwi
Interesting, thats the most recent serial number known. Very, very collectable rig and not an unreasonable price so far either.

ben604
100% on a couple of transactions for £30 boots and other cheap stuff...with just 8 ratings, I'd be wary at this price.
Kiwi
Well, if they don't actually possess the amp then they won't be able to supply close ups of the transformers or serial number.
SS73
Hmmm, bid history shows ''bidder id hidden/ private auction'' so who knows. If, as many would be totally into this auction, super rare and has the cabs etc, one would bid in the last 1/2 hour and just be a watcher till the fall. Ebay is such a Good/Bad place for super rare stuff so either way.
obbm
I am pretty certain that this exact rig was on Ebay last year. It's a shame they don't keep the history.
SS73
I think that if the person that had put his bid in from the start at 2k, and has had it exposed/extracted so soon as this would be pretty funked off by the whole thing, but as another has appeared on ebay, I would sit back now and let the sellers stew maybe not even bid again and contact the sellers after. I could be completely wrong though and they both sell for over 2k....
SS73
Hmmm, seems things have changed , on the english listing anyway. Can anyone explain how this can happen, has the top bidder retracted his bid, but the underbidder must also do the same to get the bids down this low?, unless as I thought it had been the seller bidding up. Sean.Robinson
[quote name='SS73' post='551854' date='Jul 26 2009, 04:07 PM']Hmmm, seems things have changed , on the english listing anyway. It was all cleared up in the end and he decided to buy mine for £1900 and retracted is bid on ebay. Im guessing the seller has a friend bidding up the auction for it to drop that low as when the guy who bought mine withdrew his bids hence dropping it so low. Thats why i never trust hidden bids :/ Ah well just thought id fill in the blanks, i think the V8 is a great head but to me it isnt worth £1900 hence my withdrawal from the club im afraid
SS73
Nice one Sean, all's well then, your happy and the guys happy and lets hope someone gets one of the V8's on ebay for an honest bid price, I suspect though that the english one may get withdrawn. sixshooter
It hurts my back just looking at the pictures, but boy do I miss my V8! sorry guys but the Mark Bass just does not cut the mustard like a V8!
SS73
Bid to £1382.00 Well that's an honest price, about what I paid for mine with the 810 last year, was thinking I've got myself a real investment here, but then I never want to sell mine on anyway.
