KASH Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 I have a gig coming up and the house bass cab is a mesa boogie 1516. I won't be taking my 810 as it's overkill for the venue. I don't know if my GK 1001RB is a bit too much for the cab really. The house head is a trace of some kind, don't know the model...I just don't wanna blow the house cab. Any thoughts? Quote
silverfoxnik Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 It's a 450 watt cab by all accounts... Should be OK provided you don't overdo it on your master volume.. Have a look here: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...;hl=mesa+boogie Quote

My head will be pumping 700w @ 4ohms onto the cab...I think I'll take it with me anyway and give it a try. Not sure about PA support but it's a small venue so might just use backline, don't know yet.
