Hi all,

As part of my recent GAS attack I picked up a tatty Trace Elliot GP11 MKV, and I'm very happy with it. I'd like to tidy it up a bit, and also know more about it.

So, to start with the tidying. The gain & volume knobs look tatty, the GEQ white caps are all missing, and the switches for "Graphic Equalisation" and "Middle Cut Pre-Shaping" are missing there caps. Is there a place where I can get these (for reasonable cost)?.

Next, the case it is unsurprisingly tatty. Is the original covering material available?

I'd also like to know when it was made, what power the output stage is, and anything specific I should be servicing whilst I'm looking at it.

The serial number reads H5383, and the model number is 1115.

British Audio Service is the place for Trace spares, though you might be better off looking for non original pats that don't look out off place.

As for specs - http://www.gbaudio.co.uk/data/te1115.htm

Trace usually put dates on the PCBs.

Edit: Oh, and you'll probably find the graphic and EQ switches are pretty flakey if they work at all.

Thanks for the info, much appreciated. Actually the EQ switches & graphic seems to work fine (so far), Let's hope it stays that way.

I got the old preamp a while back and got some replacement knobs etc from gbaudio. I think a lot of the bits are generic UK industry though, so maybe worth looking up some general electronic bits suppliers??

Switches all work fine on mine as well...although I have seen some sold on evilbay as "rare" or "hard to find"...
