Machines
I apologise for the terrible mixes - our singer thought that it needed 'more treble'. Hopes Crumble To Dust recorded on Yamaha BB614, all others Yamaha RBX775. Bassmonster
you guys are tight. "last act of rebellion", cool track, you can really here the maiden influence!, you can really here your bass, loving the steve harris type lines btw. Not bad version of cowboys from hell as well
Machines
Cowboys was done in one take right at the end of the session, it's not bad but I'm not a huge fan of the song anymore (after playing it way too much !).
john_the_bass
very good - musically all very competent. like you say mixes aren't great (drums could probably do with a proper mix) but good enough for demo purposes. Don't be afraid of layering up guitar tracks to make it sound big and only criticism is that last act of rebellion is probably a bit long at just over 6 minutes. In the arrangements of most of our stuff (link in my sig), we've had to be quite ruthless cutting stuff down purely from the point of view that if we ever wanted to get any kind of A&R opinion, my view is most of the decision making is done within the 30 seconds or so. I've cut songs in half before because they'd weighed in at nearly 7 minutes. One of our latest ones has come in at under 3 mins. All good though.
