boabskiboab
Ok. I have a squier P that i am going to mess with. I'm going to add a MM pup as close to the MM sweet spot as i can whilst keeeping the split P's in their original position. This is my first modding project. So i don't want to spend a fortune on seymours. What are some good options for decent pups on a budget. I want to replace the split p's for something a bit meatier and I obviously need a 4 string MM pup (pole pieces on show)
acidbass
I'm pretty sure if you placed an ad in the Wanted section, that someone on here would have a spare OLP MM pickup or something lying around, I know a few BCers changed the stock pickup out for a better model. Might not sound as good as a Seymour, but it will give you a general idea if you like the configuration or not. Hope this helps

WHUFC BASS
Kent Armstong are a really good value for money pickup - especially their Vintage Hot P-bass pickup. I put one is a Squier and it sound the dogs knackers. Only cost about £25.
