bobbass4k
I'm building a blend pedal, but it wasn't until the stuff arrived that I realised I didn't know how to wire some of it together. Basically i've got a PCB (layout), 4 jacks, 2 pots, a DPDT switch, and a 9v socket, here's a bad paint drawing of how I think it should be wired together, which I imagine is horribly wrong: The main problems I'm having is that there's no out on the pcb, so I don't get how to connect it to the switch, and the 9v connector it's one of these: , how would I wire it up for tip negative? any help would be much obliged
Al Heeley
The out is taken from the centre (unused) lug of the vol pot. http://gaussmarkov.net/layouts/bblender/bblender-schem.png - see V8 in the schematic The DC adapter jack socket has 2 common terminals that can be identified with a multimeter. Usually the insertion of the plug breaks the circuit between the 2 common lugs (thats for over-ride with a battery when the mains is not attached). the third lug is the other polarity. You can check if they are the right way round with your multimeter again with a mains adapter plugged in and attached. if the tip is wrong polarity you then need to reverse your wirings accordingly. Alien
The 9v connector it's one of these: how would I wire it up for tip negative?
The simple way to find out what pin connects to what is to plug a centre negative DC supply into it and measure the voltage on the output lugs with a voltmeter.
