john_the_bass
assuming my abm300 is hybrid - ie it's got one valve, the rest of it is SS. Does the job
nedsbeds
All solid state at the moment, but would love to try some valves! probably in pedal format.

Merton
Main amp is the V-Type combo, so that would be a hybrid. I guess the 12-band is almost a hybrid (same theory as john_the_bass!). Oooh, recording with both tomorrow: V-Type - gonna be mixing the DI'd pre-EQ signal with a mic'd signal, wohoo! 12-band - DI post EQ Well, that's my little egg of a theory anyway
chris_b
I'm currently using an Ampeg SVT3PRO containing 5 pre amp valves and a solid state power amp. This is a big sound. Goes deep and low with a lot of zing.

BigRedX
Currently... Bass Pod XT Pro as my pre-amp into a Carlsbro 600 Watt Power Amp. However the Carlsbro amp is going to be gone soon in favour of something digital and light. BTW anyone making digital power amps that take an ABS/EBU digital in? Basszilla
Markbass amps and cabs. Owned a couple of valve amps in the past, mesa 400+ and bassman 135. The bassman was nice but it kept blowing up and the boogie was just overkill!

Spikyhedgehog
With all your eq settings up to full, gotta love it. And I bet the bottom channel is your clean one, seeing as that drive is so damn low.

[/quote] hehe, the top one was the "clean" one, i used to use these settings with my p bass, the channels are voiced differently and the top one sounds alot fatter than the bottom one, and if i remember correctly the bottom has more gain available (havent fiddled with it for a while) and i used to switch it in for added dist. it was never clean though, but it CAN do clean.
